Terms of Service

Last updated: April 3, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using cocal, including cocal.io, mcp.cocal.io, related APIs, and the account management interface (together, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

cocal is a calendar management service that connects your Google Calendar accounts to supported AI assistants and MCP clients. Depending on the permissions you grant and the requests you or your connected client make, the Service may read calendars and events, create new events, update events, delete events, respond to invitations, and perform related calendar-management actions on your behalf.

3. Eligibility and Account Responsibility

You may use the Service only if you can form a binding agreement and are authorized to connect the Google accounts and calendars you use with the Service. You are responsible for maintaining control of your Google account, your cocal session, and any AI assistant or MCP client you connect to the Service.

4. Google Authorization and Connected Clients

To use calendar features, you must authorize access to one or more Google Calendar accounts. You may revoke this access at any time through the cocal accounts page or through your Google account settings.

If you connect cocal to Claude or another client, you authorize the Service to receive requests from that client and return results to it. You are responsible for reviewing how that client uses your data and for the instructions you give it. cocal does not control third-party AI products or guarantee how they interpret, store, or display the information returned by the Service.

5. Your Instructions and Calendar Changes

Calendar actions performed through the Service may change, delete, or send responses relating to live Google Calendar data. You are responsible for the instructions you submit, whether directly or through a connected AI assistant or MCP client. You should review high-impact actions, especially actions that may send invitations, modify recurring events, or remove event data.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes attempting to access accounts or calendars you do not control, circumventing security or rate limits, interfering with the Service's infrastructure, using the Service to violate law or contract, or using the Service in a way that could harm other users, Google, connected clients, or the Service itself.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service depends on third-party services including Google Calendar, hosting providers, and the AI assistants or MCP clients you choose to use. We also use operational service providers, including analytics and error-monitoring vendors, to run and improve the Service. Those services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, availability, and technical limitations. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, access revocations, or downstream handling of your data by those providers.

8. Availability, Changes, and Suspension

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, including in response to security concerns, abuse, infrastructure issues, or third-party platform changes.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may remove connected accounts through the account management UI. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms, created security or legal risk, or used the Service in a way that could harm the Service or others.

10. Disclaimers

The Service may rely on incomplete, ambiguous, or automatically generated instructions, including instructions created by AI systems. We do not warrant that results will always be correct, complete, or appropriate for your situation. You are responsible for evaluating whether a requested action is appropriate before relying on it.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, cocal and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, calendar entries, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose or U.S. $100.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
